A Dr. Seuss Wedding

McPhee our leader, ever bold and true
Told us to marry, so we took our cue
And let ourselves be quickly swept away--
like sticks of gum upon their wedding day.

So here we stand, the bendy lad and miss
Prepared to twist for life around a kiss.
Your yellow skin and ever-smiling face
project the future of the rubber race.

You hold my heart within your white-gloved hands;
Someday, proud parents of some rubber bands.
