SINCE THIS EVENT OCCURRED, THE CDA HAS BASICALLY BEEN REVERSED. Injunction Blocking Internet "Indecency" Law Federal Judge Ronald L. Buckwalter has temporarily blocked enforcement of the Communications Decency Act, which makes it a felony to use computer networks accessible by minors to transmit "indecent" material. His ruling stated that the term "indecent" was unconstitutionally vague and would "leave reasonable people perplexed in evaluating what is or what is not prohibited in this statute." A three-judge federal panel are reviewing the constitutionality of the Act, and any subsequent appeals will be placed on a fast track to the U.S. Supreme Court.
